In order to comply with Ethanol Facility’s EPA issued Operating Air Permit, exhaust streams must be treated before being released to the atmosphere. These streams are challenging to treat because they have volatile organic compounds, high moisture content, are loaded with particulate matter, contains oily vapors and are corrosive. Without operating Air Pollution Control, the feed dryers must be shut down.
